i have random, involuntary shivers that shake my head and shoulders. not cold. sometimes d/t air movement (like a fan). friend concerned. should i be?

i can't walk. my symptoms started a few months ago with involuntary eye movement and tremors/spasticity and now when i try to walk it feels like i'm being electrocuted in my legs and my knees can't hold me up. i don't have ins. & dont know what to do?

: You may go to a primary care doctor as a start although, you should go to the emergency room You may qualify for temporary insurance coverage. This sound like you need an MRI which is expensive

Anxiety shows itself: In may ways.  Once can mentally obsess over things that frighten the person or do behaviors to keep danger away, e.g., ritual behaviors, checking and re-checking.  Physically there can be heart palpitations, shortness of breath, sweating, sleeplessness, etc.  Please go to a mental health professional for support if you think you have an anxiety disorder.

Twitching: It may be caused by an irritable nerve or muscle. Deficiency of calcium,magnesium and electrolyte disturbance can be a cause. Avoid caffeine and see your MD if symptoms persist. Tests will be ordered. A neurologist can be consulted as needed.

Left arm spasm: Would check for strep/ mono . Sometimes pharyngitis strep or others can cause muscle tightness in trapezius which is the big muscle of your upper back and neck  I would also be concerned about a peritonsillar abscess/ sinusitis and TMJ dysfunction which can cause upper extremity dysfunction . Would follow up with  MD/ ER/ urgent care today

Is this new?: If this has been true for some time, your neurologist and doctor would be the best source of explanation from their findings. If it is new, you might ask for an eval by a neurologist and if it is new, sudden & unbearable - go to an er. Perhaps your sensory system is just highly sensitive and you'd need to learn how to accommodate. Hypnotherapy might be useful for training yourself in that skill.

Need to see your doc: Spasms of the entire body could refer to anything from epileptic types of spells to tetanic types of posturing, or some form of sleep disorder, or generalized dystonic reaction.  Lots of big fancy words but the bottom line is you must seek out a doctor (perhaps neurologist) for a thorough interview, examination, and orders for laboratory tests.  Your description of what's happening is not normal.
