None: If some one gets cataract surgery then he/she will need lens implant to replace the natural lens that developed into cataract.   The lens made of inert material that is not allergenic or immunogenic therefore it does not cause any reaction.

Yes: No problem. Most people don't need lasik after an implant, but it is definitely possible. You need to have a cornea that is suitable (thick enough and round).

Lens implants: There are many different types of lens implants; mono-focal (single distance lens), multifocat lens (one lens that does both far and near), accomodative lens (lens that flexes and gives both far and near).  From what I am aware the most common would be both eyes recieving a mono-focal with both focused for distance (will need glasses for near vision).  Mono-vision is one near and one far.

For cataract surgery: When we perform cataract surgery we remove the lens of the eye. In order for the patient to see the lens needs to be replaced. The replacement lens is the intraocular lens implant. This lens implant is permanent and should not need to  be replaced in the future.

Not a total cure: When a lens is no longer clear, it can be replaced by a lens implant, so it is a cure for a cataract. A natural lens can change its power to focus on objects at different distances. However, the lens implant is plastic and only has one power (not adjustable inside the eyeball), so it is sort of a partial cure for one's myopia.

Yes: When a cataract is removed, an artificial lens termed intraocular lens is substituted to restore focus.  The power of these lenses is selected to compensate for the basic eye power so that clear vision without glasses is possible.  This will permanently correct cataracts and myopia and hyperopia as well.

For cataract surgery: When we perform cataract surgery we remove the lens of the eye. In order for the patient to see the lens needs to be replaced.  This lens implant is permanent and should not need to  be replaced in the future. The implant lens can be removed if necessary however removal of the implant lens may be difficult. It is not usually done unless the patient is having significant difficulty.
