i have internal hemorrhoids. i'm a male. will regular vaginal intercouse affect them at all?

No: Straining to have bowel movements, lifting, or chronic deep coughing can make the hemorrhoids worse but vaginal intercourse with a woman should have no effect on a man's hemorrhoids.

what can i do for internal hemorrhoids? they hurt, itch and burn.... i can't take it anymore

Internal: hemorrhoids do not itch burn or hurt. You may have a fissure or pruritus ani. stop all caffeine, drink 80-100 oz fluids daily, warm tub soaks. if no improvement see your PCP for exam and/or referral to a colon and rectal surgeon

i am being treated for grade 2 internal hemorrhoids, can they cause urinary or prostate type pain?

No it does not: Hemorroids causes painless bleeding from the rectum and usually associated with defecation.. It can cause a heaviness in that area and itching on occasion but will not cause severe pain unless the hemorroid is Stage 3 (which means its bleeding, prolapsed and edematous and swollen and so cannot return back into the rectum. This is treated with surgery thanks

i heard internal hemorrhoids are painless and i have them and mine definately are not painless. how do i treat them if they were caused by diarrhea?

Rectal suppository: You can try a rectal suppository like preparation H which can be picked up over the counter at a local pharmacy, this contains hydrocortisone cream which will decrease the size and swelling of the hemorrhoids, it is also possible these hemorrhoids are X ternal which may be causing pain. Lastly you may want to see your doctor as they can refer you to a colorectal surgeon to have the hemorrhoids remlastly you may want to see your doctor as they can refer you to a colorectal surgeon to have the hemorrhoids removed

Texture/Doctor Exam: Most hemorrhoids (varicose veins of the anus) are soft, squishy tissue that distend after straining or having a bm, and may bleed.  If a hemorrhoid becomes firm, enlarged, and tender, it may have thrombosed (clotted).  This is treated w/ pain medication and time.  Anal lump present all the time requires medical attention to assure that it isn't something else.  See fp, gi, or surgeon!  good luck!

Regulate bowel: Keep bowel movements soft and frequent, avoid straining, take extras fiber diet all can help in avoiding worsening of hemorrhoid and possible surgical intervention.

Banding : True internal hemorrhoids can be treated in the office by rubber band ligation. In the office, a rubber band is placed on the base of the hemorrhoid. The hemorrhoid will fall off in about a week.

Check it out: You always want to check it out to make sure the diagnosis is correct. Ben at age 40, I would strongly consider having a colonoscopy. May also want to get a consultation with a colorectal surgeon for more info about hemorrhoid treatment. Ita not always surgical. Hope this helps!
