32 y/o f with ibs, and internal hemorrhoids. been having intermittent minor bright red blood and mucus on stool for a few days. should i be concerned about this being anything other than ibs or hemorrhoids?

: Bright red blood originates from near the outlet. It reflects tissue injury near the outlet. Blood from higher up would be darker, red to maroon or black due to enzyme action &amp; more worrisome. As long as you body replaces the blood lost you can do well. For long term management see a proctologist who can fix your hemorrhoids.

i've had a little bit of yellow leakage from anus. i think this is fecal leakage due to hemorrhoids (because i've had problems with internal hemorrhoids before), but could it be mucus or a sign of an infection? no pain or other symptoms?

: Hemorrhoids alone usually do not cause anal discharge. It could be an infection, especially if you are at risk for STDs. Your profile identifies you as male:  get seen ASAP if you have had receptive anal sex, or if the discharge continues more than 2-3 days. You also chose "anal swelling" as a topic tag. That also could be a sign of infection, or maybe just your hemorrhoids.

pooping large amounts of yellow/orange mucus. pain in anus, no noticeable blood. is this internal hemorrhoids?

i have had hemorrhoid trouble all my like with on and off constipation. i had bright red blood like i sometimes do in the toilet today along with when i wiped like a bloody mucus or clot. is this normal when u have hemorrhoids to have the little clot?

Yes: Hemorrhoids bleed to various degree.  People on blood thinners or anti platelet issues more common. Having some bloody mucus with or without clots is not unheard of.

Maybe: How bloody? Was it painful? For a young 33 year old without other medical issues like bleeding disorder, blood thinner use or ibd, you are most likely dealing with a hemorrhoid bleed.  If it hurts quite a lot, it maybe a fissure.  Should see a doctor if it persists, recurs.

Not normally: Internal hemorrhoids: blood filled cushions, not varicose veins; not usually felt during  rectal exam.  Usually painless vs. External hemorrhoids (different nerve supply).  Can cause bright red blood in bowl, on toilet paper, or coating stool.  Bloody pieces of tissue, blood mixed in the stool, dark blood, clots, etc need to be evaluated.  Bright red blood may need to be investigated too. See md.

: I think you're describing rectal mucus which usually isn't part of hemorrhoid symptoms unless there's a lot of associated inflammation.  Your anorectal discomfort most likely comes from a fissure. A proctologist or colorectal surgeon are best to examine &amp; advise you if you don't improve. Sit in hot ( not boiling,) water,pat dry&amp; apply an anal cream your pharmacist can recommend. Keep stool soft.

i have a bad case of hemorrhoids.  i can see and feel them.  i've had them before, but this time i have a lot of mucus.  could this be more?

Of course it can be: Yes, try not to strain when you have a bm.  That is the main cause.  Also if you do a lot of heavy lifting, it will bring them out with that straining.  If here is a lot of mucous, the tissue is getting irritated.  You may need an operation if you have prolapsing anal mucosa. That makes lots of mucous. See a colorectal or knowledgeable general surgeon.
