HPV: Human Papilloma Virus will stay in your system for lifetime and may remain dormant unless your body is under stress. HPV has different subtypes. Some of these are benign and some can lead to problems in the future. Consult your primary doctor for further workup and physical.

m)23. straight. had unprotected receptive anal sex once 1.5 yr ago when i was mentally ill (no othr std). might have hpv anally. pap smear not available in my area. in how many days hpv clears out of butt. % chance of internal warts. othr tests need?

: You should be checked by a proctologist or surgeon  to make sure you dont have any warts. Hpv, if you have it does not clear up by itself.

: Yes, the anus and rectum can be infected with HPV. In women, it happens either by migration of virus from the genital area or by anal sex. Some infections produce anal or rectal warts and also raise the risk of anal cancer. But like genital HPV, most anal HPV infections do not result in warts or cancer and are eliminated by the immune system. Discuss with your gyn doctor if you remain concerned.

had bump that looked like bowenoid papulosis, brown raised. what is difference between hpv wart and bp? was on tip of inner butt, not near anus.

Probably not HPV: If you're not a medical professional, you cannot rely on self-diagnosis of Bowenoid papulosis. Plenty of other skin lesions can be brown and raised. Genital wart also seems unlikely: a) the buttock is a possible but uncommon site; b) genital warts usually are multiple, not only a single lesion; c) new HPV infection causing GWs is uncommon over age 26. See a doctor, ideally a dermatologist.

Yes: Not only your body but any close partner as well! hpv is a leading cause of squamous cell cancers, so both you and any partner are at risk and thus early treatment is essential-see your doctor!

This is a great question. HPV can be found to be negative but still be present in small numbers that we can not detect.  The numbers rise and fall with the strength of the immune system. The immune system is affected by everything that we do i.e. Stress, diet, period, or taking medication . Be concerned but remember that the same immune system is on duty everywhere!  Anal pap.

is the vangina supposed to be bumpy on the inside?? it's been bugging me i do have hpv anal but  these don't look like herpes  what could it be??

Likely normal: Inside of vagina can normally feel "bumpy". Your gynecologist will likely confirm.

Several treatments: Usually the warts if they are multiple are treated with a topical product eg. Podophyllin, Aldara (imiquimod) or zyclara, 5fu, topical tca with mixed results.  They can also be destroyed with liquid nitrogen, electrocautery. Co2 lasers etc.  You need to be evaluated by your dermatologist.

i have had anal sex all protected each time , will i catch hpv still even if none of my sex partners have hpv ?

No: If none of your sexual partners have hpv, you cannot acquire it.
