Abdominal pain: You might need a HIDA scan to completely rule out gallbladder. Some people have gallbladder dysfunction when no gallstones are seen on ultrasound/CT. If HIDA scan normal then you can most likely rule gallbladder out as a cause of your pain.

An exam by a primary care doctor can help figure things out. Pain in the right upper abdomen, plus symptoms that occur after eating, can be due to gallstones or other gall bladder disease. A doctor can evaluate for gall bladder problems.

Consider these...: Anatomically, the right upper quadrant (RUQ) of the abdomen includes: liver, gallbladder, pancreatic head, bile ducts and ampulla, c-loop of the duodenum, stomach antrum and pylorus, the hepatic flexure of the colon. Don't forget the diaphragm and lower chest are pretty close by. The abdominal musculature, ribs, and skin can all contribute as well to localizing RUQ pain. An exam is appropriate.

Any pain made: Worse with movement suggests musculoskeletal origin, like muscle strain.  But abdominal pain has 100's of causes, and some causes originate outside of abdomen, like pneumonia, pleuritis, or pulmonary embolus.  And it can be something as superficial as shingles.  Get a doctor to help solve this puzzle.
