i've been feeling dizzy, headaches & tired for 4 months my dr thinks its related to my inner ear but i don't know if i agree.any other possibilites or tests?

Tired and dizzy: Four months of being tired and dizzy raise a lot of questions and possibilities.  I would suggest an internal medicine or perhaps endocrinology consultation.

Anything: Your headaches could be coming from tension, dehydration, lack of sleep/poor sleep, skipping meals, stress, eye strain, teeth grinding, sleep apnea/snoring, or chronic sinus problems.

ENT: Dizziness with headaches is very debilitating.  Really need to see an ENT doctor who can do a thorough history and examination, possibly some testing.

Hearing loss: Presumably, the ENT doctor was reporting the results of a hearing test which demonstrated the need for a 25% increase in volume before you heard the test tones; in addition the doctor attributed the problem to an inner ear problem.  Of greatest concern are the associated persistent headache, nausea and dizziness; these symptoms and the hearing loss merit a careful evaluation by your doctor.

You said it yourself: You might have some congestion from allergies or a cold that intermittently causes a feeling of a congested ear;  but when you start talking about headaches, dizziness and anxiety, then the anxiety is likely the problem and may be causing the headaches and dizziness. Your doctor may be able to help you with that.

Meclizine: Meclizine, 25mg is available over the counter as a possible relief.  If this does not work, or you are having other symptoms such as deafness at the time of dizziness, or tinnitus (ringing) then you should be evaluated by an ENT specialist to rule out more serious issues.

Yes: Your inner ear is responsible for balance and hearing. Any condition affecting the inner ear can affect these two fucntions.

Some: Tympanometry testing can tell if there is fluid in the middle ear, which can cause dizziness. The inner ear, however, is a little more involved to test as there are a number of tests to do to fully assess the inner ear as it is nearly impossible to access. There are different hearing and nerve tests that can be done, but i'm not sure one could definitively tell you there's fluid in the inner ear.

Labyrinth : The outer ear is considered the pinna, ear canal, and ear drum.  The middle ear consists of three small bones with a connection to the back of the throat.  The inner ear is two parts, the cochlea that contains hair cells that respond to sound waves and the labyrinth that is fluid filled and responds to movement.  If this movement detector is damaged or inflammed you will feel dizzy with vertigo.
