Infertility: Regular periods are no guarantee of fertility. Medical issues, certain hormonal factors, uterine or tubal pathology, for example, could prevent conception.

Conception: Be patient. No - not conceiving w/in 3 months doesn't mean you are infertile. Have you used an ovulation calendar or ovulation prediction kit to optimize your chances?

Unfortunately, yes: There are many causes of infertility, some of them do not disrupt normal ovulation (which causes the normal periods).  If you have been trying unsuccessfully to conceive for over a year you should consider seeing an infertility specialist.

Infertility.: It is possible that excess or rapid weight loss can lead to hormonal problems that can affect fertility.  If your periods remain regular, that's surely reassuring, but you should get some hormone levels to be sure.

Ovulatory : Problems account for about 30% of female fertility problems. Tubal problems are a very close second, and other problems such as endometriosis make it a fairly long list. Of all couples who seek help for fertility issues, about 40% have a male (husband) factor. So "yes" many possible problems, testing with a doctor who understands the issues will figure things out quickly.

PCOS : Pcos can be a tricky diagnosis since it can overlap and be confused with other conditions. In 2003 a consensus workshop sponsored by two organizations, eshre/asrm,  indicated that to be diagnosed with pcos, patients needed to meet 2 out of 3 criteria including irregular or no ovulation (oligo ovulation and/or anovulation) excess androgen hormones (by symptoms or blood tests) and/or polycystic ovaries (by gynecologic ultrasound). Based on these criteria it was determined that approximately 30% of patients diagnosed with pcos will have regular menses, although not always with ovulation. Women with pcos do have problems conceiving mainly from this lack of ovulation. So if you can do testing for ovulation with an ovulation predictor kit or temperature charts and they look normal, then you are probably ok! keep in mind that there are many reasons why people cannot get pregnant including the partner, tubes being blocked, etc. That can also impact fertility. Not enough data: While it's sometime helpful to look at discharge to time your ovulation (discharge is thinner during ovulation), it's not the only information a woman should use to determine ovulation.  The easiest is to use an ovulation predictor kit.  That will tell you if you're ovulating.  Some women rely on taking temperature every day and checking discharge.  When there's a spike in temp --&gt; ovulation.

: Most patients with PCOS are obese or overweight.With weight reduction menstrual periods become regular and fertility improves.
