2 issues: Heartburn and indigestion are due to stomach acid injuring your esophagus or even the lining of your stomach (Often due bacterial infection: H.pylori or NSAIDS - pain meds). Palpitations are not caused by those issues and are a separate problem that requires a separate investigation.

Yes, : Yes, the hamburger and influx of sodium in your system may have caused the spike in your blood pressure. The salt in this meal can cause some degree of dehydration, making your heart beat faster. Also, any anxiety/panicky feelings, along with your cardiac history may have contributed to the spike. Since this was followed by indigestion, there may have been degree of pain that your body was feeling at the time. Take your blood pressure on a day when you are feeling calm. See your doctor if your blood pressure is consistently higher than your normal blood pressure.

i took 1 pill of contrave on tuesday morning around 6am and had heart palpitations, trouble sleeping, sore throat, indigestion. didnt take any this morning and my question is how long will that 1 pill stay in my system?

: When I read the common side effects of this medication, which is a combination of 2 meds,  I thought it would take extenuating circumstances to take it for weight reduction. . I also learned that the side effects may last days. Notify your prescribing physician of your reaction to it.

: I have to consider this a digestive disorder as it occurs with eating. An esophageal motility disorder would be a likely cause of your symptoms.  A gastroenterologist would be best to evaluate and advise you.  Any appropriate testing will be carried out.

i have been diagnosed with dyspepsia and am on nexium (esomeprazole). i have been experiencing heart palpitations when i lie down (day or night). is this normal?

No: Having heart palpitations anytime is not normal. Indigestion and/or Nexium (esomeprazole) do not cause heart palpitations either. If you're having heart palpitations, you should see your doctor to be sure that they are not signs of a cardiac problem. Do not delay seeing your doctor. Good luck.

i've been diagnosed for heartburn and am on omeprozol and iron supplements for a week now. i still feel palpitations once or twice a day, please help?

I don't think the : omeprazol or iron tabs have anything to do with the palpitations. Do you drink excess amounts of caffeine ?
