General rules: The OTC creams/lotions you apply to the skin do not put medications/chemicals into the blood to any significant degree. Only those that would enter the bloodstream can effect the milk. They are thus not a problem with breast feeding unless applied to surfaces where baby suckles.

ERCP: The ususal cause of a bile leak is a traumatic injury to the duct. with an obstruction of the duct bile may back up into the liver ducts.An MRCP is used for diagnosis

Only liver functions: The ability to digest food depends of GI enzymes most of which are produced by the pancreas and then activated by bile produced by the liver.  Rather than have bile constantly spilling into the GI tract, The GB acts as a reservoir.  When food enters the stomach and reaches the SB digestion occurs with bile activated pancreatin, the bile having been stored in the gallbladder which then empties.
