i found out i am 8 weeks pregnant but had implantation bleeding on aug31. am i really 8 weeks or was the doctor off a bit? if so how many weeks am i?

Gestational age: If your gestational age was confirmed with US, then your doc is accurate.  Implantation bleeding timing varies, so we don't use it necessarily to estimate gestational age except maybe for a patient that refuses ultrasound

Bleeding: Implantation bleeding occurs before the missed period. Typically an earlier and lighter period. A miscarriage happens after the missed period and can be more painful.

Pregnancy: We usually base your due date on the first day of your last normal period.  If your periods are irregular then we do an early ultrasound to base your dates on.  I have no idea what to do with all the other dates.  When you see your OB for the first time they can straighten all this out.

hi, i am currently 8 weeks pregnant and three days onwards for me it's bleeding. i was in uk, here i asked one doctor they said it's implantation bleeding, but still i am get confused.. and i checked kit it's showing positive so it will alright?

: Spotting can happen during pregnancy. Only can serial blood test for hCG level confirm the fetal progression, not a spot urine test. Rest, avoid strenuous exertion or emotion and follow your obstetrician's advice. Good luck!

No: It is not possible to have a negative test at 8 weeks; if your test is negative, you are not pregnant. Sorry.

No: Most often there is no bleeding with implantation. When it occurs it is drops or less.

Implantation bleed: Implantation bleeding is much more common on the internet than in real life. It occurs rarely and exclusively in someone who is pregnant. The only way to know if someone had implantation bleeding or just irregular menstrual bleeding is to wait and see if you are pregnant. If your test is positive then this was implantation bleeding. If it is negative then it is just irregular menstrual bleeding.

No such thing: The egg is microscopic when it lands on the wall of the uterus. There is no such thing as implantation bleeding. If you have bleeding this is not representative of pregnancy. A spot or two of blood is rarely seen, but not bleeding.

No: The color depends on the amount of blood so if very little (which is expected) it will have a yellowish tone to it.
