i am extremely sexually active with my boyfriend (well endowed) but i feel as if though i never orgasm. something wrong?  just fyi i have implanon.

Maybe: Lack of orgasm can be related to medications, technique and relationship issues. If you have never had orgasms, that is different than if you just don't now. Having more direct clitoral stimulation may help. If you continue to have problems, see your docotr.

Usually two: One, if the implant is unfortunately not implanted correctly so that the hormones aren't released/absorbed by your body in the expected fashion.  Two, is just that, no birth control, even if used 100% correctly has a 0% failure rate, in that your body sometimes "has a mind of its own" and will still ovulate through hormonal manipulation!

Implanon/nexplanon: Assuming it was "fresh" and in date when implanted it will provide protection for its entire duration.   These types of medications are tested to make sure they last the entire time its designed to be implanted.     Long and short  - NO.

What do you mean: Do you mean, can the rod break and still function?  I've never heard of a rod breaking in the skin.  If that were to happen, I would return to the doctor or clinic that put the Nexplanon in and they would likely replace it and send a defective device back to the manufacturer. If you're speaking of a different kind of 'breakage' then consider rephrasing your question. Hope that helps!

Should be removed: The manufacturers  are absolutely adamant about having the devices removed once they have expired. There is the (rare) risk of it migrating into a muscle or other organ.  The nexplanon's can be identified with sonographic evaluation (certain wavelengths are necessary) -or with mri. You may want to get a second opinion, and see if you can have the ultrasound done to locate the Implanon then remove.

Irregular bleeding: It is normal to have irregular bleeding after placing Nextplanon. It will get better with time.

Eat healthy : There are no foods that need to be avoided due to the contraceptive implant. A healthy diet is always recommended

No: Implanon is meant for female.  Instead of taking a pill , you may be better off wearing a condom which would also reduce the risk for getting STD as well.

Patience.: Patience is a wonderful virtue that all parents and all prospective parents should develop, prior to getting pregnant. That means a person who says, "I want to be able to have a baby right away!" (with an exclamation mark), is not likely ready to have a baby. Patience is so important. That being said, one might ovulate weeks after removing the implant, but in real life, it is not very predictable.

i was on the implanon birth control for 3 years & afterwards i got the nexplanon ive had it for 2 years somewhere in those 5 years i started having all brown periods i'm on my period now and i found actual red blood on my pad but i haven't had in yrs?

Menstrual blood: The color of menstrual blood is not usually important. It has more to do with how old the blood is and if it has gone through chemical oxidation or not. A change in color is not a sign of something harmful.
