Probably ok: Breathing during a mammogram could cause motion blurring. However Mammo techs and radiologists are taught to look out for that and if significant motion is seen a mammogram is typically repeated, either right after the tech checks the images or after a radiologist reviews it.

Not all ways: Depends on the level of the blockage, and the underlying lung pathology.

can using a breathing tube for a month damage my ability to breathe for myself?

Not really: If you are medically paralyzed, your breathing muscles (mostly the diaphragm) will be weakened.  However, most patients are not completely paralyzed for that amount of time and you will be using your normal muscles to breathe.  When the tube comes out after a month, you may feel a little weak but you should be able to breathe.  The ICU will also help you get stronger before they take the tube out.

Possibly: There are some breathing problems that are visible on an x-ray.  For example, tuberculosis, pneumonia, pulmonary contusion, pneumothorax, and many other things can be seen on x-ray.  However, another list of breathing problems do not show up on that study.  Hence, it is only one part of the picture that a doctor looks at when evaluating breathing complaints.

my brother is 14 and was breathing heavily but wouldn't respond then after a breathing tube was put in started to shake and threw up and moves but isn't awake and slurred his words once, what's going on?

Many possibilities.: There are many medical reasons this could happen. This does sound like a seizure could be involved, but there really isn't enough information to give you a clear answer.
