See a physician: You need to see a doctor as soon as possible. Pain like this can be from a tubal pregnancy (ectopic). At 8 weeks this can be an emergency.

Not necessarily: Should have nothing to do with that unless you have an ectopic pregnancy or a cyst , the single best way to tell is to do a blood pregnacy test.
