Yes : Whether or not you can get pregnant has nothing to do with the hernias. It is ok to get pregnant with previous hernia repairs. Unclear where the left sided hernia is. If it is in the groin, I would consider repair before getting pregnant. It is probably best to ask your hernia surgeon and have a check up to get a more complete evaluation. Hope this helps!

What's your question: We declare infertility once a couple has tried regularly w/o any success for over a year to get pregnant. I mention this b/c after 1yr, it's time to go see a reproductive endocrinologist for testing to make sure his sperm is viable and that you're ovulating regularly & have enough Progesterone to sustain a pregnancy. Now is also good time to take prenatal vitamins & start preconception counseling.

is it possible to get periods on a regular cycle for two months while being pregnant? the urine pregnancy test indicate negative as well but my belly is getting bigger. kindly help?

HCG level: If you are having periods and urine pregnancy test is negative, it is unlikely that you are pregnant. Your belly may be getting bigger from weight gain. You may get a blood test for HCG level to rule out pregnancy and consult your doctor for an examination.

Should not interfere: hernias don't interfere with pregnancy for most part.  I would not recommend repairing again until after pregnancy, to prevent further recurrences

Call OB: It might be normal to have some stomach tenderness.  But if you are having bleeding and cramping, you should see your doctor.

These : These could be premenstrual symptoms; less likely symptoms of early pregnancy since you have only been trying to get pregnant for the "last few weeks". Typically signs of early pregnancy don't start this early. You can take an early prediction pregnancy test as early as six days before your missed period.

: It means the uterus is stretched out and there is not much room. Babies don't think about getting out, it just happens, and they begin to witness the world around them. Before then, they drift in and out of various sleep states in a darkened setting. True thinking starts when they are out.

Yes and no: The belly button ring itself is pretty safe.  However, as your belly stretches the skin over the ring will get thinner and the ring may pull through.  Most women take their ring out before they hit the third trimester.

Normal: the pregnancy symptoms are not anywhere near 100%, mild, and caused by many things other than pregnancy. Furthermore, generally they occur LATER than a missed period.

2nd trimester +: The pregnant uterus is contained under the pubic symphysis bone and is NOT pal[pable externally until the 2nd trimester. (week 14+) when the uterus rises above that landmark.
