Phases of infection: Igm is the antibody that is 1st to rev up in early phases of infection.  Then as the body begins to fight infection it produces more igg antibodies.  The body keeps igg around as a  "memory" so it can respond more quickly and vigorously if it sees that infection again.  The duration and efficacy of the memory is variable.  This is also how vaccinations work.

HSV: All it means is that you have been recently exposed to hsv and you have made igm antibodies to this.

Dengue: Without knowing the antibody titers to which you are referring and whether you have symptoms it is difficult to  comment. On the other hand if you have antibodies (both IgG and IgM) to Dengue virus it is probable that you have recent dengue infection.

Platelet count is: normal.  This is a good sign.  Negative NS1 usually means that whatever your baby's illness is, Dengue is not likely.  Negative IgG means your baby hasn't had Dengue before.  A weakly (+) IgM could be early Dengue, but it could be something else.  The most important thing is that your baby gets proper supportive care.  Example:  if he's not drinking, he may need replacement fluids.  Namaste.

Both 1 and 2: Sounds like you have an acute infection with herpes 2.  Igm indicated acute infection. The igg will become positive with time. A positive igg  for herpes 1 indicates  prior exposure to herpes 1.

Old Infection: This most likely means you had an old infection with lyme disease.  Our bodies make IgM early in an infection and IgG later.  Even once the infection is gone there will be detectable IgG for quite some time.  This is part of how our body remembers previous infections so we can fight them off better if we get them again.

IgM vs IgG: Igm shows an acute infection with the hsv virus. After clearance of the hsv (typically) the body will have a positive igg which simply shows previous infection.

Best to check: in 6-12 weeks, depending on which IgM was elevated, and why was it checked in the first place?
