i havea large raised mole its gotten larger recently, it has started to peel and is bleeding. the next drs appt is in 3 weeks, should i be seen sooner?

Bleeding mole: Call the doctor's office and let them know the situation. There are always cancellations. Let them know that you are flexible.

have a small raised mole on cheek my entire life. a part is now bleeding like a popped acne.mole has no change in shape and color.should i be worried?

Mole: Hi Jen, I don't think you should worry, but you should see a dermatologist to evaluate the mole for possible biopsy.  Hope that helps!

See doctor: All of your question did not come through, but the changes in the mole you described warrant an evaluation and may be excision of the lesion and examination of the tissue by a pathologist.

For good health - Have a diet rich in fresh vegetables, fruits, whole grains, milk and milk products, nuts, beans, legumes, lentils and small amounts of lean meats. Avoid saturated fats. Drink enough water daily, so that your urine is mostly colorless. Exercise at least 150 minutes/week and increase the intensity of exercise gradually. Do not use tobacco, alcohol, weed or street drugs in any form. 
Practice safe sex, if you have sex.

Hemangiomas: They are small overgrowths of blood vessels.  They are right at the surface of the skin and that is why they look so red.  Since they are made of blood vessels they will bleed easily.  They become more common with age.  They are not a problem except for cosmetic reasons.

i have two moles on my back that itch constantly, sometimes bleed or "fall off", change colors and became raised. but my pcp quickly looked at it and said it was fine. should i get a second opinion??

, Seberiei   Keratosis: Your PCP is correct .these moles are benign Seberieic Keratosis . Some times they get irritated and bleed from Trans and may fall off .  Even if you have them removed they will come back . Try to avoid scratching them in your sleep . You can see a dermatologist and sometimes they may elect to remove them .

: Since this could be a sign of purpura, a manifestation of abnormal clotting, you need to obtain a complete blood count to assess changes in platelet level, thrombocytopenia.  Contact your doctor today.

See doctor: May be a seborrhea or may be from scratching and digging at scalp.

my son has a mole that is bleeding and has scabbed is this safe?

Accepted Answer

Probably: Moles will scab if they are scratched or bumped.  As long as the scab heals in 1-2 weeks and the mole looks the same, then it is ok.  If the scab doesn't heal like any other scrape or the mole looks different afterwards, then have it checked.
