: This would be completely zero risk for transmitting either HSV1 or HSV2.

Infections spread: The genital herpes virus can spread by direct contact to mouth and fingers.  Outbreaks of herpes may be easily missed.  Condoms may help reduce genital to genital spread, but there still can be contact outside the area protected by the condom.

Yes: These days, oral cold sores may be Herpes Simplex Type 1 (70%) or Type 2 (30%). Genital Herpes is 70% Type 2 and 30% Type 1. This is because of oral sex being commonly practiced. 
You may conceivably be infected with a mouth lesion, however, usually it is skin-to-skin contact. It would be a stretch to get clitoral herpes from saliva.

No risk, no worry: First, genital herpes usually is only genital -- i.e. the virus probably isn't present in or near the infected person's mouth. Second, HIV is never transmitted by saliva and almost never by oral exposure. And even if both viruses were present, there would be no measurable risk from such an event. You don't need testing and needn't worry at all. If no sex with this person, there is no risk at all.

"Sores": Diagnosis, and thus appropriate treatment plan, requires a physical examination of the lesions and perhaps lab tests and/or biopsy. See your Dentist or an Oral Surgeon.

Herpes Transmission: Herpes simplex virus (hsv) has two types: type i generally infects the mouth and produces "fever blisters".  Type ii more commonly is genital.  However, performing oral sex on someone infected with hsv i or ii  can result in oral herpes.  There are blood tests that can quickly determine if you've been infected with either strain.  Antivirals help to reduce shedding and infection.

Viral isolation: None of the serologic tests will convincingly differentiate between herpes types 1 & 2 infections.  The only way to definitively do this is to isolate the virus and test it for type.

No risk at all: Herpes simplex virus (HSV) is transmitted ONLY by direct genital-genital or oral-genital contact. The virus is not transmitted at all by the kind of indirect contact you mention. If you don't have sex with an infected person, you'll never get it. So choose your partners with care and have safe sex with new or possibly high risk partners. Otherwise no worries about herpes or other STDs.

Yes: If the person whose cigarette you are sharing has active lesions then you definitely are at risk. Even if this person doesn't have active lesions he/she might be shedding virus and can be contagious. It is best to not share cigs, or maybe consider quitting.
