: She could not be AB. She could have been A, or B, or O. she could not have been homozygous Rh positive but could have been heterozygous Rh positive.  As heterozygous Rh positive she would have been positive.

Not  single answer: Your father has to have blood group A, for you to have blood group A.
He could be Rh positive or negative.
For good health - Have a diet rich in fresh vegetables, fruits, whole grains, milk and milk products, nuts, beans, legumes, lentils and small amounts of lean meats. Avoid saturated fats. Drink enough water daily, so that your urine is mostly colorless. Exercise at least 150 minutes/week and increase the intensity of exercise gradually. Do not use tobacco, alcohol, weed or street drugs in any form. 
Practice safe sex, if you have sex. 
Get HPV vaccine, if you are under 27 years of age.

If the parents have type a, type b, or type o blood, the baby can have type o blood.  The next part of the answer, which is referring to the rh factor is a little bit more complicated.   The rh factor is on the surface of red blood cells.  Rh positive (+) is dominant over rh negative (-). About 85% of people in the United States are rh positive.   The parent who has o negative blood is (--) since rh negative is recessive. The parent with a positive blood could be (++) or (-+) since rh positive is dominant. If the baby gets an rh positive from one parent and an rh negative from the other parent, than the baby will be rh positive.  If the baby gets an rh negative from each parent than the baby would be rh negative.  It is extremely important to have blood types tested because when the mother is rh negative and the father is rh positive there can be complications. 
   The short answer is: the baby could be either o positive or o negative.
