positive pregnancy test but bleeding? i'm worried i either got a false positive or i'm having a miscarriage, and i can't get it checked out.

Get to ER/hospital.: You could very likely be having a  miscarriage.  If you did your test soon after you thought you became pregnant, it might have already occurred.  Either way you should see a doctor very soon.  If the bleeding doesn't stop or gets worse, get to a hospital or er immediately, as you might have torn something there and need attention to stop bleeding or prevent infection.  Best of luck.

: It may be helpful to do a blood test for HCG level and retest in 2-3 days. A rising level would be diagnostic of pregnancy.

Even : Even though bleeding can be a sign of miscarriage, there are instances where bleeding can occur (especially in the first trimester), but the baby is still ok.  I'm afraid you are going to have to wait until your appointment to know for sure.  They may do additional blood testing and/or an ultrasound depending on your symptoms and how far along you are.  Reasons to go to the er are fever, heavy bleeding, or severe pain.

Should see your OB: You should have a blood pregnancy test done.  A second one should be done 2 days later; the level typically doubles in that time if things are normal.

Needs follow : Bleeding after a positive pregnancy test requires a prompt visit to the doctor for an exam, hormone testing (bhcg) and a sonogram. Without testing there is no way to know.

Concerning: Obviously there's not enough information here for us to answer this. Bleeding with a positive pregnancy test is concerning though and should be promptly evaluated by your doctor. Miscarriage and ectopic  pregnancy must be excluded.

Repeat: The failure rate for tubal ligations is 4/1000.  Repeat the pregnancy test in one week.  If it is negative, see your doctor.

Not your fault!: About 25% of early pregnancies are lost spontaneously, mostly due to chromosomal defects in the embryo. You did nothing wrong and could not done have anything to prevent this sad event. I wish you the best and a healthy baby!

BHCG levels: Falling BHCH levels usually indicate a miscarriage. Of course confirmation by your doctor will be necessary.  A urine pregnancy test will stay positive until the levels reach about 20 or less.

Pregnant ?'s: Pregnancies outside the uterus can have inconsistent test results, so it is possible that the "positives" were recorded just prior to cessation of pregnancy ("miscarriage").  Most spontaneous miscarriages occur very early, and often are "disguised" as simply delayed menses.  The good news is that most subsequent pregnancies are generally of normal length.
