Maybe. Maybe not.: Any fertile woman having sex with a fertile man can become pregnant, but one who takes birth control pills correctly will seldom get pregnant. By skipping the placebo pills, a woman avoids the withdrawal bleeding. That is the reason women skip the placebo pills. Some women do that in order to have fewer withdrawal periods per year, such as 4-6 periods per year.

No: Generally you can not get pregnant if you are taking your pills other than the sugar pills correctly. Missing 1 sugar pill should not cause you to be pregnant. And you are on your cycle so all sounds safe. Protect yourself from infection. All the best.

Possible: Although unlikely, you can still get pregnant on the pill Did you take any new medication last month, like an antibiotic?  Check a pregnancy test. If negative, repeat in a week.  If negative, see your doctor if it happens again, or if you have other symptoms, or pain, fever, discharge, etc.

Not likely: If you were good about taking all your active pills in the pack the chance of pregnancy is very very low.  You are safe having sex on your placebo days.  Sounds like your periods is just late.  If worried, take a pregnancy test.

Continue on: directly into your next pack of pills.If you had any unprotected intercourse, do a home pregnancy test.

Possibly yes: Whether on birth control or not, typically women who  conceived will not get a menstrual period. However, some women do have their menstrual periods sometimes just a few cycles into their pregnancies, occasionally throughout the entire pregnancy. Having had a menstrual period is not a reliable indicator for a woman that she is not pregnant.

i took one pack of tri-sprintec and stopped bc at the placebo pills. day 39 no period-neg pregnancy test. usually get period day 26-28. normal?

Not normal: Please see your gyn and you may want to get on a much lower dose pill, I have not perscibed that pill for years, please discuss with your gyn.

: You should continue with the new OC pack. Missed period can still happen when taking oral contraceptive. Conception is very less likely with 3 negative pregnancy tests and you are taking contraceptive. Take care.

i'm on the pill and last month i read that you can skip your period by starting a new pack instead of taking the placebo pills but i ended up having a period anyways. so this pack i decided to take as normal and haven't had my period. am i pregnant?

: If there was no interval between the last active pill in one pack and the first active pill in the new pack, bleeding can indicate not taking the active pills within the hour of the previous day's active pill.  If pregnancy is possible, obtain a serum HCG test to be certain about pregnancy.
