Maybe. Maybe not.: Any fertile woman having sex with a fertile man can become pregnant, but one who takes birth control pills correctly will seldom get pregnant. By skipping the placebo pills, a woman avoids the withdrawal bleeding. That is the reason women skip the placebo pills. Some women do that in order to have fewer withdrawal periods per year, such as 4-6 periods per year.
