Acute gout: First and foremost, are you taking an anti-inflammatory medication for this gout.attack? For soothing the skin, elevate the leg,try to ice it. If you wish to try ointment, vitamin A&amp;D ointment or an ointment containing aloe.may sooth the skin.

You can: But, personally, i think there are more effective treatments. I think oral meds if not contraindicated will work better and faster for the gout. For tendonitis it is fine.

NO, a HIGH FAT FOOD: According to fda regulations, ice creams with solid additions must contain a minimum of 8 percent milk fat, while plain ice creams must have at least 10 percent milk fat!   a nutritious diet should be low in fat (and saturated fat), low in sugar, high in fiber (whole grains preferable) & high in green leafy vegetables.

Just as unhealthy.: Custard is made a bit differently, but it's just as UNhealthy as ice cream.  Frozen yogurt would be a better choice than both - not "healthy" but lighter.

Not directly: Interesting question.  Airway inflammation can be helped with cool humidified air, like when an asthmatic goes outside and has some relief of their symptoms at night.  I suppose if you're eating ice cream, some of the upper airway inflammation that may come with bronchitis may be relieved with just the direct contact with ice cream.  Not sure i'd depend on it for a cure though.
