Red eye: Yours sounds like a sub conjunctival hemorrage. Usually from rubbing your eye, possibly while you sleep. Usually no cause for concern, the whole white of your eye will turn red then slowly clear over a couple of weeks. If you get frequent recurrances or easy bruising you should get your blood check for bleeding abnormalities.

What : What you describe sounds like a chalazion or commonly known as a stye. Try placing a warm wash cloth on the lid three or four times daily. If the stye does not go away, there are other treatment options and surgical options you may discuss with your ophthalmologist.

Styes can also be associated with lid margin disease.

Lid margin disease is a common and frequently chronic inflammation of the eyelids. Symptoms include irritation, itching, and, occasionally, a red eye. This condition frequently occurs in people who tend to have oily skin, dandruff, or dry eyes.

Bacteria normally reside on the skin, but in some people, they thrive in the skin at the base of the eyelashes. Nearby oil glands may be overactive, causing dandruff-like scales and particles to form along the lashes and eyelid margins, which can cause redness, stinging, or burning.

Lid margin disease cannot be cured, but it can be controlled with a few simple, daily hygienic measures, such as the following:

at least twice a day, place a warm, wet washcloth over your closed eyelids for a minute. Rewet it as it cools, two or three times. This will soften and loosen scales and debris. More important, it helps liquefy the oily secretions from the eyelidsâ€™ oil glands, which helps prevent the development of a chalazion, an inflamed lump in an eyelid oil gland. 
With your finger covered with a thin, wet washcloth, cotton swab, or commercial lint-free pad, gently scrub the base of the lashes for about 15 seconds per lid.
When medications are necessary, they may include:

artificial tears (over-the-counter eyedrops) to relieve symptoms of dry eye; 
antibiotics (oral or topical) to decrease bacteria on the eyelids; and 
steroids (short-term), to decrease inflammation. 
Medications alone are not sufficient to control lid margin disease; the application of warmth and detailed cleansing of the lashes daily is the key.

Several possibles: You could have just a really nasty viral respiratory tract infection to the starts of a sinus infection to strep throat to influenza (although latter is fairly uncommon this time of year). It also sounds like you have conjunctivitis on top of it (the eye symptoms). If viral, these things will run their course in 5-7 days, and you do supportive care of symptoms. If strep or sinus, need antibiotics.

Warm compresses: A stye is a swelling of one of the small oil glands on the edge of your eyelids. A stye causes redness, swelling and tenderness of the lid margin. The best initial treatment is warm compresse to to the lid margin for about 5 minutes 4 times per day.

Hard to say: Conjunctivitis just means the tissue is irritated/inflamed. It could be allergies, viruses, bacteria, chemicals, trapped dust, etc. Without an evaluation it is hard to decide a treatment. The easiest home care would be just to use artificial tears for a while to wash out any irritant. If it persists, have it seen.

Pinguecula: This is a normal structure which the eye makes to defend itself against dust and wind.  It is present next to the cornea (the front window) medially and laterally in the open space.It is more prominent during red eye conditions because it has few vessels, and so gets highlighted when the rest of the eye is red as it is paler. It does not need treatment.

See your doctor: This isn't normal and your doctor will give you specific treatment after physically examining you. You may need to examine you for sinus or upper respiratory infection or symptoms to help you feel better. Rest and hydrate and reduce your high stress level. Avoid sugary sweets, processed foods, fried or non organic meats as well. Let your body and mind rest!
