i heard that ringworm is incurable. is this true?

No: Ringworm is an infection caused by fungus or yeast. It can be treated with a topical antifungal. In some resistant cases not responding to topicals it may be necessary to treat with an oral antifungal. But usually this is a curable condition. It is contagious and spread by contact with infected persons or animals.

my 4 year old daughter has type 1 diabetes, she started to get this rash 6 month ago that looks like ring worm but doctor said no cure for it.any idea?

Ringworm treatment: There are definitely treatments for ringworm (fungus).  In people with diabetes, there is increased blood sugar which makes fungus grow faster.  Topical medications in non-hairy areas. For hair or scalp fungal infections, oral medications are needed.  But they definitely can and should be treated. Also granuloma annulare is a rash that happens in people with diabetes and looks like ringworm.

No: Head & shoulders does not contain any anti-fungal medication, which is what ringworm is. You need treatment with an antifungal cream, and if the ringworm is on scalp, you may well need oral anti-fungal medication, as scalp ringworm can be very resistant to topical treatment.

Ringworn - yes.: Ringworm isn't a worm; it's a fungal infection of the skin that results in a red circular rash with darker red around the edge of it, giving the appearance of a worm.  So you don't get "a ringworm"; you get ringworm.  And yes, if dirt gets under the skin through a cut or scrape, and contains the ringworm fungus, it can cause ringworm.  An antifungal cream should clear up most cases.

: Coconut oil has caprrylic acid which is a natural anti fungal. It also has Laurie acid and anti microbial lipids. I am not aware of any randomized controlled studies for validation. Using coconut oil is not a bad idea even if it does not cure ringworms. Hope it helps.

Myth: Ringworm is a lay term for fungus that can implant on your skin surface from casual contact with dirt/animals or other humans. It lives off the older surface layer of your skin &amp; has does not trigger or interact with your immune system at all.

Depends: There are many species of skin fungal infestations.  Typical "ring worm" (tinea corporis) can usually be eradicated. Tinea versicolor, can be treated but it usually recurs.  The picture is of tinea versicolor.
