Maybe: There are effective antifungal creams available containing terbinifine, Miconazole and undecalynic acid. The problem is that fungus can recur. The use of listerine is unproven. If the otc do not work there are prescription oral and topical agents for fungus.

hey the skin around my testicles is cracked and burns a little bit. i thought it was jock itch and i read online that crest or listerine mouthwash kills fungus so i applied a little to my scrotum and now my testicle skin is burned and looks inflamed

Need to examine: It is not feasible to provide a meaningful opinion without additional history, physical examination and may be some tests.  For the next couple of days, let your skin recover from the damage you caused.

Not really: It will disinfect the digit and soften the nail so that the fungus doesn't have anything to attach and grow on, but once you stop, there's a chance that it will come right back again.  It's a short term clearing, not really treating the fungus infection.

Why waste mouthwash?: None of the home remedies or internet cures will kill the fungus responsible for the nail infection.  It takes strong "fungus killing" drugs or laser to get to the root of the problem.

No: Toenail fungus requires prolonged treatment with an oral fungicide; basically, you can't treat the fungus already in the nail, but you can impregnate growing nail with antifungals. Soaking your feet with listerine is not recommended and may lead to skin irritation/inflammation.

Not really: I did a search on web and didn't really find any testimonials as to the success of this mixture other than statements of it feeling  good.  I believe that it may vary from person to person, the source of the dead skin and the duration.  If in doubt, i would check with a dr. Or a holistic practitioner.
