what is the frequency of a yeast infection after treatment for bacterial vaginosis?

Common: Any antibiotic dose can make yeast worse if it was already there, and sometimes (i hate to admit) us providers were wrong and the discharge was from yeast all along and the BV treatment made it worse.

A few more days: If you are taking the vaginal metronidazole, you're going to continue to have that white clumpy discharge for a few days after you stop the vaginal suppository.

More information?  : Are you going to the same Doc each time?  Or is this urgent care?  Are you otherwise healthy? Other past medical history? Could you simply be getting reinfected with various STD's?   B Vag and Candida are not considered STD's but the risk does increase with increasing sexual partners.   Recurring candida could be a sign of immune deficiency, diabetes,  and warrants some investigative bloodwork.

Pelvic congestion: Is a common cause of a discharge when infection is ruled out. It is best left alone. However i would get an ultrasound, pap smear to make sure all gyn pathology is ruled out.

Recurrent BV? STD?: BV often recurs, so that's a possibility. However, BV doesn't usually cause colored discharge. Were you tested for STDs, including gonorrhea, chlamydia, and trichomonas? These all are more common in women with BV; make sure your doc does the best tests, including DNA test for trich. Hold off sex, or only with condoms. Keep working with your doctor -- it should be possible to work this out.

That can be a sign: of bacterial vaginosis. That odor is not typical of a yeast infection, which would present with a white, thick discharge, not necessarily with any particular odor. You should see your doctor to be diagnosed and treated properly.

Yeast infections: don't usually have a strong fish odor. If you aren't sure of the reason - then it is best to be medically evaluated to correctly identify the dx.

U could have both: Yeast usually itches and is white, BV usally smells and is green , brown, yellow , or opaque, see your gyn for a culture because you could have both and there are 6 diff bact that can cause BV and sometimes you can other bact like e coli , etc in tehevagina.
