But if your lifestyle and sexual practice are in high-risk category for contracting STD, go to Doc for testing and counseling soon for current concern and for future prevention. At this time, I wouldn't guess yes or no for being infected.

It's too soon to otherwise know the cause; no test detects syphilis this soon. There is no harm in waiting, but you must not have sex with anyone before you return to the doctor.
