Zoloft (sertraline): Common side-effects to zoloft (sertraline). Unusual that they lasted that long. May be related to the dose of zoloft (sertraline). Discuss with your prescribing doctor.

i have been having diarreah for two days now (with fever at night).. i believe it is a stomach flu. is there anything i can do?

Diarrhea: If you haven't been backpacking, drank contaminated water, been to mexico or overseas, the most common would be the stomach flu. Plenty of clear liquids(alcohol not included), b.R.A.T. Diet (bananas, rice, apples, toast) are the first line of care. Avoid fat and protein. If it lasts 2 days, you start vomiting, or it's getting worse despite the above, you may need an iv.

my son has been having diarrhea for 6 days. the dr prescribed him some meds to make it stop but it hasn't?

No meds: I generally do not give any medication for diarrhea because this is the body flushing out what is causing the problem in the first place. Occasionally antibiotics are used if there is a worsening situation with a bacterial diarrhea that is causing bloody stool and fever. If the number of bowel movements a day is decreasing and he is drinking and eating you usually need no medication. Good luck.

Need evaluation: Diarrhea over 6 months may be due to chronic infection, malabsorption and less common reasons. It appears that you are under the care of a doctor and it would be prudent to discuss the issue with your doctor as more history and tests may be needed.

Food log: His symptoms appear rather chronic now. It would help to understand if his symptoms are related to specific types of food or not related at all. Drinks, OTC meds and supplements will have to be watched also. Sometimes periods of high stress may cause worsening of his symptoms. Having the log at his next well visit will help his doc in making the right recommendations.

Painus in the anus!: Such burning is due to the alkalinity of the intestinal contents damaging the anal canal and perianal "skin" or anoderm.  Put Calmoseptine on the area before and after BMs.  Clean the anal area with dry paper then with tap water before applying the medicine.  You also need to seek medical attention if the diarrhea persists over one week.  It could be an infection or worse, colitis or Crohns diseas

why do i get diarrhea from everything i eat? stool comes out oily. sometimes a liquid comes out that looks clear oil. its been 6 months.

Diarrhea : Sounds like you have an issue digesting fats. You may have a gall bladder issue.
