i was born with no soft spot on my head but i don't have any head deformaties, does this mean i have craniocynostosis?

No: I have seen  "soft spots" the size of a pea, or the size of an open hand. As long as the growth plates of the skull push away from each other (don't fuse), normal skull growth in size & shape can occur.

hello, i'm very worried. i just came across a soft spot on my head about twenty minutes ago. when i touch it it kind of burns , in my ears too :(  ?

See your doctor.: The soft spot (fontanelle) should close between 1 and 2 years of age.  There are various medical conditions that can cause it to remain open longer.  I encourage you to see your child's doctor as soon as possible to evaluate this issue.  Good luck!

Sounds like muscle: spasms of your scalp muscles. Are you under stress or anxious.  Try some ibuprofen for relief.

Yes: The soft spot, or anterior fontanelle, remains open until about age 2 years.  This allows the brain to grow freely without waiting for the skull bones to keep up.  At 18 months the fontanelle may still be present, may be small, or it may seem closed.  As long as the baby's head circumference is growing in the normal range, the fontanelle is fine.

Watch for shingles: That could be the first sign that you are getting shingles (a painful, blistering skin rash). It often occurs on the scalp. If you see little blisters form, see a doctor right away so you can start the antiviral medicine within 48 hrs, to limit the duration of the rash/pain.

Pinched nerve: The stiff neck causes spasm of the muscles and compresses the nerve that supply the scalp/ Best to talk it over with your doctor.
