No: Please don't as the scalp is very vascular and prone to bleeding profusely.  Have a dermatologist do it, please.

Try wart-off, etc.: Otc wart-off or compund-w may help. However, dermatologist might help you more by using liquid nitrogen.

Make an appointment: I'm not sure what your question is but to see a doctor for the wart on your lip, just make an appointment.  The cost or insurance issues you can deal with the doctors office but to see a doctor, an appointment is all that is needed.

Only if the surgeon: ....was trained in the days of the Old West then, you might get some whiskey poured down the gullet, given a bite block to chew on with hands strapped behind you. But in the 21st century at least the bite block is no longer used! You'll be fine. For a good facial surgeon this procedure is easy &amp; quick and they'll give you the GOOD STUFF. You will even be able to listen to the OR music!

Unlikely the issue: The more likely finding in that location is a mucocoel. Mucous producing glands within the inner lining of the mouth/lips can have their pores broken by the trauma of eating.This traps mucous in cystic collections that may have a wart like appearance. Usually , I have an ENT surgeon remove these.

Big picture: Paul, please do everything that you possibly can to stop smoking. Lung cancer is a horrible disease and you're asking for it by smoking; you're also guaranteeing that your level of physical fitness and ability to exercise will be less now and far less in later life than it would be if you're a non-smoker. You're worrying instead about a wart on your lip? Take that health concern and translate it.

YOU don't!: See a dermatologist for this.  Even some dermatologists refer face issues to a plastic surgeon, since scaring is a known risk.  Please don't even think of using some over-the-counter acid wart remover on your face!
