Try clear broth. * add honey ; a small amt. Of lemon juice to chamomile tea.  Afrin (oxymetazoline) can be effective (but don't use for &gt; 72 hours).

BLOCKED EUSTACHIAN T: A cold can cause blockage of the eustachian tube and that can cause the feeling of clogged and stuffy ear and can sometime also cause middle ear infection due to overgrowth of bacteria behind the ear drum due to impaired drainage.

Sinusitis: All your symptoms point to an Upper respiratory infection
involving your sinuses. Sunuses are in the  forehead and cheekbones but  pain can radiate to the temples.  Check with your primary care
doctor for a thorough examination.

Ear blockage: The blockage is caused by the Eustachian tube, which runs from the back of the nose to the middle ear, being clogged with mucus. To dislodge this sticky mucus, try steam inhalation and irrigating your nasal passages with warm salt water. Vigorous valsalva maneuvers are not advisable and don't dislodge the mucus in the Eustachian tube.

i have a cold and at certain points in the day my ears feel pressure and i feel sensative to sound.! is this normal?

Yes: A virus can cause swelling of the eustachian tube openings that sit at the very back end of the nasal passages and create a sense of fullness in the ears even with some mild hearing loss.  Several times daily try to blow your nose forcefully and get the ears to pop.  Sudafed and afrin can also be helpful.  If the sound sensitivity worsens especially with hearing loss then seek medical care.

May be allergy: This itching could be due to allergic reaction to anything like food  clothing (woolen or synthetic) make up or soap etc:You may take benadryl (diphenhydramine)  or apply hydrocortisone skin ointment to relieve itching.If it continues or spreads more or any swelling ,then see your doctor for evaluation of itching and treatment .

Ears pop: Blocked ears with a cold is common. Try open mouth yawning. 
Enzymes such as papain and bromelain reduce swelling of the eustachian tube and can help here.

i feel like my ears are plugged but i can hear still.  i also feel like i have pressure in my head.  what is it? i also have a cold i think.  everything seems to have a higher pitch to it.

When : When you have a cold; congestion, mucus and swelling can cause the eustachian tubes to stop up.  The eustachian tubes connect the middle ear to the back of your nose. That can give the feeling of being plugged up.  The pressure in your head is also likely to be from congestion.  You can use something like afrin (oxymetazoline) nasal spray to help reduce the swelling. However it should not be used more than twice a day for no longer than 3 to 5 days maximum to avoid developing chronic congestion problems due to the medication. I can only use afrin for two days before it becomes ineffective. You can also use over the counter decongestants.
