i have a clicking in my ear when chewing.

Common: Usually this means the eustachean tube isn't fully closed.  You can probably ignore this.  If it becomes a major nuisance, an otolaryngologist might be able to help.

when i chew food or click my teeth it's sound hallow or like i'm in a auditorium. no ear or sinus pain. it's been going on for about 2 weeks. a few years ago i had a piece of hot metal splatter go in my ear while welding but no problems since?

: That's interesting! I do not think the two are related. I would ask your dentist about it when you go for your routine dental cleaning!

my jaw is sore on the left side, it gets worse when i chew to the point that it seems to be popping/clicking. my ear and head take turns hurting as well. all my symptoms are alliviated by  me being quite and not moving my mouth. do i need to consult.

Tinnitus: Your symptom is unusual. Make an appointment and hearing test with an ENT doctor. You could have eczematoid skin or hair in contact with ear drum so shaking of head makes a sound.

Yes &amp; No: Vertigo is commonly caused by a problem with the way balance works in the inner ear, although there are other causes that the ENT Doctor will need to check for in his Differential Diagnosis to determine your specific cause.  The clicking you hear may be caused by the Jaw joint in front of the ear (TMJ). So these can be separate unrelated items that your ENT Doctor needs to look at.

how do i stop the clicking in my ear every time i take a breath? i have recently gotten over a very bad sinus infection. ever since the onset of the infection i have had a clicking in my ear.

The : The inflammation in the sinuses and nasal passages is likely still causing edema in the eustachian tube that equalizes pressure in the middle ear.  This edema will cause popping/cracking in the ear with chewing, talking, swallowing, anything that makes the palate move.  Although annoying, it usually goes away on its own with time.  You may be able to speed it along with otc decongestants.

i have been getting clicking in my ear like tapping finger beds together really fast. i feel a movement also. it lasts 30 secs then goes away and happens several time a day. its not my jaw & no infection signs. ive been strength training a few mont?

Get ears checked: possible foreign body, clump of ear wax (cerumen), ear canal obstruction (cerumen impaction) and requires an ear exam.

ENT-NOW!: You may have ruptured your eardrum ( tympanic membrane) I am not certain what you mean by "popped my ear"? Did you hold your nose closed and tried to blow?- Sounds like eardrum injury.  BTW: not a great idea to try to "pop".

Jaw joint clicking: Having popping/clicking TMJ noises not necessarily a problem. Many people experience these noises. Without pain or limitation of function the noise itself is not an issue. If you have locking or limited movement, "ear" pain, headaches, morning jaw stiffness/soreness, difficulty chewing, bruxism, previous jaw injuries or other jaw conditions, the problem is more serious. Then see a TMJ specialist.

I have no idea.: But I have the same thing, &amp; have been to an ENT specialist who could not explain it, I also have sound distortion along with it. Good luck on finding the answer! I would like to hear if you ever find out.
