i took 1mg of clonazepam yesterday (it was a one off, as my doctor prescribed it for anxiety to be used when required). my question is how long until it is safe to consume alcohol? i've tried looking online but got conflicting answers?

: Clonazepam is a long-acting medication so there needs to be caution taken when combining this with alcohol. It also depends on what effect the clonazepam had on you-are you still feeling drowsy/light-headed from it? If you are back to your baseline mental status, without any sedating feelings, then I would wait 24 hours from when you are feeling back to your baseline mental status. Be cautious.

i had watery diaherra yesterday but today not watery but pecies of stool.. my colonoscopy was 4 months ago and endoscopy 6 weeks ago. took imodium yesterday for the watery diaherra? please answer from review of previous question and answer thanks?

: Try not to take meds for diarrhea.  Your body is trying to get rid of something - virus, bacteria or toxins and you do not want to keep them in.  Constipation from Imodium  is a temporary condition, fortunately.  The Imodium (loperamide) will wear off.  Meanwhile, drink 6-8 cups of  fluid a day, plenty of fiber- fruits, vegetables, and exercise.

sorry for so many questions. after the extraction yesterday i notice the tooth that had a failed root canal was infected and split in half, half ot it seems to be there. i called but answer was wait2 week. is it safe to be with that thing in there?

: Take a course of antibiotics for 1 week to 10 days, to be prescribed by your dentist as you have mentioned that it is infected tooth. 2 weeks waiting period your dentist gave is okay as along as you don't have fever/chills/difficulty in opening the mouth .

Be seen: I don't think your entire question fully came through.  Certainly if you had a five hour surgery yesterday and are concerned you are having a complication I would contact your surgeon or the hospital directly.  Numbness in the tongue could be potentially from the endotracheal tube you probably had in your airway during surgery.  Again, I would contact them directly with any questions/concerns.

Maybe a side effect: The single dose treatment for chlamydia is azithromycin. Nausea, abdominal pain, cramps, and/or diarrhea are common side effects, but usually start in a few hours. If "feel sick" means lower abdominal pain, it's possible the chlamydia has infected your fallopian tubes, i.e. pelvic inflammatory disease (PID). If your symptoms continue for more than another day, definitely contact your doctor.

Strange question: I'm sorry but if you had sinus surgery yesterday, why would you ask an outside nasal surgeon about questions you should ask your surgeon.  Your surgeon is responsible for all pre-op benefits and risks of surgery on the sinuses and the post-op care until you are healed.  You need to ask every conceivable question that you want to know.  Sorry, but my patients would never ask an outside source.
