Unrelated: The kidney failure is unrelated and needs assessment.  If your kidney function is more than 60% not you likely are ok.  If less, given your age, it needs evaluation.  The genital herpes is unrelated, but treatment doses will need to be adjusted for degree of kidney function to avoid kidney injury from the meds.

NO , virus infection: Both are caused by virus infection , genital  ( if it is genital )warts are caused by hpv virus , herpes , herpes by herpes simplex ii virus , may be more prone to get due to immuno suppression  , both are considered sexually transmuted diseases

Use a condom: If you do not have the herpes virus already i would be very cautious.  I would definately abstain during acute outbreaks and wear a condom at other times. Remember any hing that can make a person sick will make a transplant patient more sick.

Kidney : Kidney disease is best monitored by a kidney specialist physician, a nephrologist, and medications and dosing are typically followed closely by the nephrologist.  It is safest to report all medicines medicines to the nephrologist before starting or increasing any dose.

Probably not herpes: Recrurrent genital herpes doesn't cause enlarged lymph nodes. This happens from herpes only once, during the intitial infection, and in that case there would be painful blisters or sores. And herpes doesn't cause lower back pain. You'll need to look elsewhere for the cause of these symptoms. Good luck!

Probably not herpes: Herpes rarely if ever causes lymph node inflammation without an obvious outbreak of genital area blisters, sores, etc. Even then, lymph node involvement is rare in recurrent herpes, only during the first infection. Finally, genital herpes doesn&#x27;t cause back pain, and rarely recurs as often once a month -- usually no more often than every 2-3 months. Discuss w/ your doctor if the problem continues.

TRANSPLANT CRITERIA: TRANSPLANT CRITERIA HSV2 is not a contraindication to transplant . If she gets it she will likely need long term prophylactic therapy with famvir or valtrex (valacyclovir). You also should be screened to check your HSV2&amp;1 status

No, but...: Being "diagnosed" with a disease usually means there is a high likelihood of having that disease, but sometimes initial diagnoses are reversed when further testing shows that an alternative diagnosis is more correct. If each person gets the Herpes Type-Specific blood test and the EBV Antibodies Panel blood test done, then there can be more clarity about which virus a person has (HSV1, HSV2, EBV).

Ask nephrologist: S-AME is not generally toxic to the kidneys, but you don't give any other medications or information about the nature of your kidney disease.  There is a rare condition called Lesch-Nyan syndrome that can be worsened by s-AME.  Your kidney physician and your pharmacist should be your primary source of information, and I recommend against depending solely on online sources.
