Abscess: Sounds like it could be an abscess which is in someways similar to an overgrown pimple.   Seek treatment if it is large, deep or becomes severe.  Meanwhile apply warm soaks and avoid the temptation to squeeze it.

Pimple or boil: This sounds like a standard pimple or boil, a minor skin infection. It is unlikely caused by something caught on a toilet seat. As for any pimple or boil, just leave it alone; it should come to a head and drain on its own in a few days. If it gets a lot larger, if there is spreading redness around it, or if you develop a fever, see a doctor immediatley. If in doubt, contact your own doctor.

Have your dr see it: You may want to have your pcp dr. Look at it more closely. It's probably nothing too serious, especially if it's flat, and hasn't changed size in 5 years. However he may need to refer you to age dermatologist, in case there's a need to work it up further. If it's an angioma, it can be treated easily.

Could be several: Things.  Please consult with your dentist or an oral surgeon for an exam to check this bump.  The most common pink/red cheek bump is called a fibroma which is not cancer.  Trauma may have caused this "scar like" bump. However, you really need to have this looked at to make sure it  is nothing to worry about or if it needs to be removed and/or biopsied.

Usually goes away: What you describe ranges from being an ulcer, to an allergic reaction, to an area of trauma.  If it grows every day for 5 days or more, or if it doesn't disappear in 10 days, you should visit your doctor.  Usually these just disappear in a short period of time.  Try dissolving a teaspoon of table salt in warm (soup temp) tap water and swish it inside your mouth for 5 minutes twice daily x 5 days.

Nodule: Depending on how long it has been there it could be a type of skin lesion, or possibly early skin infection.  See your PCP and have it checked out.
