why do my ears and head get hot after accutane? ears turn red..

Accepted Answer

Not sure: Not sure, i couldn't find any listing of it as a common or even less common side effect of accutane.  Have you tried taking it at bedtime instead to see if it doesn't bother you because you are sleeping?  If not, that would be my advice.

Abdominal Pressure: Bending at the waist increases intra-abdominal pressure causing venous return to the heart to decrease. This backs up the blood being pumped from the heart to the periphery which for your upper body is your head. Increasing venous pressure causes increased pressure in the head which leads to that headache. That's also why your face turns red. Same thing  from a valsalva maneuver.

i can see teeny red bumps on my right cheek. is this an allergic reaction to the blush?

Might be: If they go away after you stop using that particular blush than get rid of the brush as well.  Make sure you apply make up with a clean brush each day to avoid contaminents and bacteria. Allergies can come from makeup as well as nail polish which can also cause facial bumps and itching.  If it does not resolve quickly let your doctor take a look to treat it.

Don't Dread the Red: The small capillaries just below the skin are responsible for this coloration.  In some people they are very responsive to emotional states.  Nutritional state, fever and even medications can also affect this.  A flesh tone makeup is the simplest way to address this, but laser therapy helps leaky capillaries and is often a last resort.  Protecting your face in outdoor temp extremes will also help.

Penile bumps: If as a ring around the corona may be pearly penile papules which are white tags. They could turn red because during an erection there is increased blood flow to the penis  Do not be concerned about pearly penile papules. or may be lichen nitidus which also is just cosmetic  f/u w/ doc

: Increased blood supply to the penis occurs during erection and that can cause the color change. STD tests were not necessary unless there was exposure to STD

Dual mechanism: Tramadol is an analgesic which in addition  weakly inhibits norepinephrine/serotonin reuptake. This is an effect similar to certain antidepressants and  may be the cause of your symptoms. 
Check it out with your physician there may be an alternative if this becomes botthersome.
