Maybe: Anything sustained is not normal.  So if it's just a few second of double that clears right away, then it's probably not serious and could be related to blood flow.  Standing up quickly after working long hours--it sometimes takes a few seconds for the blood flow to catch up.  Of course, it's best to get it checked out if your vision is abnormal.

Yes: If you are zoning out and not focusing on something you eyes might drift inward or outward, which will give you double vision.

hi i have been diagnosed with fybromyalgia and under active thyroid for six years, i have started to get double vision when tired! is this normal?

Multifactorial: Fibromyalgia is a multifactorial consequence of hormonal, immune system and nervous system dysfunction resulting from genetic predispositions and dietary and environmental insults. These factors increase inflammatory chemicals which can cause pain and inhibit thyroid function. Double vision can be a serious problem. Have this checked out.

It may be normal: Some people get double vision when they are fatigued.  Not only can the person be fatigued, but the eyes can be as well.  Staring at a computer for hours can cause a fatigue or eye "strain" that can cause double viison.  Usually, double vision that goes away when you concentrate may be normal, but you should have your eyes examined to be sure.

Yes: You can induce astigmatism of the cornea which can cause double vision by pressing on the eye or eyelid.  You can also stimulate retinal cells which will leave a scotoma or after image by pressing on the more posterior aspects of the eye.

can i get back to normal and not have double vision and get upclose with people if i do my eye therapy for my exophoria, is there hope that i get back to normal before this issue upturned my life, i can't even drive it's so upsetting?

: Not sure that I fully understand what has happened to you, and thus, not feasible to provide accurate answers.  Generically, optometrists working with ophthalmologists can design prismatic lenses which can correct many visual discrepancies.  Would also recommend some cognitive-behavioral therapy to assist your emotional reactions.

hi, i experienced a brief (15 seconds) episode of blurred &double vision in my right eye. it returned to normal after that but i did have a strange bitter taste in my mouth for about an hour after! should i be concerned? bp is normal.

Migraine: Most likely migraine, but would go to ophthalmologist for retinal exam to rule out amaurosis fugax, retinal artery, or retinal vein occlusion

Can be: If intoxicated, eye alignment can be off and double vision can be unmasked with or without an underlying problem.
