Consult urologist: Testis tumor must always be excluded if you have a hard lump on your testis. Soft lumps are more likely to be cysts of the epididymis. Scrotal ultrasound will provide the answer. Good luck.

A scrotal mass could be cancerous or could be caused by another condition which affects testicular function &amp; your health. Lump: Hi. If the lump moves relative to the testicle, it's not likely to be cancer. But testicles move. If the lump moves WITH the testicle (i.e., is fixed to and part of the testicle), it should be biopsied. See your doctor. Good on you for doing testicular self-examination!

Urology appt: Go see a Urologist without delay .  it may be nothing significant, but cancer of the testis occurs in 1 in 50,000 males between the ages of 20 and 40.  You need to be examined by a Urologist to get to the correct diagnosis

Depending : Depending on how long this lump has been present, it could be many things.  Most likely it is a spermatocele or an epididymal cyst, which are benign conditions but may be bothersome enough as to warrant treatment.  All lumps and bumps in the scrotum should be evaluated by your doctor, sometimes by an ultrasound as well, to make sure it isn't something more serious.

Testis pain = see Dr: Testicle pain means a trip to the doctor right away because the testicle's blood supply can be twisted off (called torsion). When that happens, the testicle can die. Other causes of testicle pain include trauma, infection, twisting of an appendix of a testicle (a small lump next to a testicle), etc... Since one usually cannot tell if his testicle is twisted, an exam by the doctor is needed.

Testis : Any lump on the testicle itself should be evaluated by a urologist.  On the other hand, lumps above the testis, arising from the epididymis, are very common and are simple cysts.  Get an exam to be certain.  You are within the age group for testiicular cancer.
