i got off the depo shot the beginning of august and never got my period back. now ive been bleeding for three weeks. what is going on?

: The "depo shot" is long acting progestin (synthetic progesterone), and may inhibit ovulation over long intervals, causing higher estrogen levels to thicken the endometrium. Once discontinued, the shedding excess endometrium will result in extended bleeding, and ovulation will again resume once off the effects of the "depo shot".  See your GYN physician for effective birth control .

i started bleeding dark brown blood and thought i would start my period but it went away then it came back but this time light brown and it has not gone away. its been about two weeks now. i took a pregnancy test and it came our negative?

: Menstrual irregularities are not uncommon and anovulatory cycle is a common cause. If you miss more than two periods it would be time to see your doctor. If you do not wish to be pregnant, use contraception all the time. You may consider implanted contraceptive or an IUD.

i have streaks of red blood in my stool. it's been on and off for a few months now. also when i whipe i get blood on the tissue. my period is late and i had unprotected sex about three weeks ago. could this be the reason?

No relation: rectal bleeding has no relation to regular vaginal sexual intercourse.
now anal sex is different,of course people can noticed blood in their stool after anal sex.
no relation to period either.
most likely you have anal fissure,or a hemorrhoid.
see your doctor if bleeding persisted.

i have been on gianvi (drospirenone and ethinyl estradiol) birth control pills for about three years, and never had trouble. i had my period two weeks ago as normal, and sex last weekend, and now i am bleeding a bit and don't know why.

Probably OK: Occasional irregular bleeding with birth control pills is generally not worrisome. If the problem continues a gyn provider should be consulted.

Missed period.: Reasons for missed/late periods: low body weight, obesity, marked weight ^ or v, over-exercise, endurance athletics, breast-feeding, ^ stress, illness, eating disorders (bulimia or anorexia), anovulatory cycle (no egg released), travel, hormone irregularities, drug use, meds (i.e., birth control) or medical problems. #1 reason is pregnancy.

Maybe: A urine pregnancy test, done correctly, gives a reliable result 3 weeks after sex (3 weeks after when conception might have occurred), or 1 week after missing a period. If done sooner, a positive result is likely real, but a negative result may be due to testing too soon, and thus lead to a repeat test. If a woman gets her normal regular period, then she is not pregnant, and a test is not needed.

Pelvic pain: Pelvic pain is complex as there are several organs in the pelvis. The ovaries, fallopian tubes, uterus, cervix, bladder, appendix, intestines, colon and rectum can all be the source. Pelvic pain requires and examination to help organize the evaluation.
