can i get a tattoo if i have rauynads  phenomenon? i have many from years i know but went to my friends tattoo shop &  she said it might not be good ?

You can: Raynaud's phenomenon will not be effected by tattoo. However, people with raynaud's syndrome have more difficulty healing because of the constricted blood flow. There is only one very important thing you have to keep in mind; getting it done safely. Find a licensed artist. Take care.

Accepted Answer

Not recommended: At least few months should be allowed posttreatment as Oratane will interact with your skin's capacity of healing after the chemical trauma induced by applying the tattoo. Your best reference remains your dermatologist treating your acne.

Accepted Answer

Depends: Most professionally-done tattoos are safe these days in terms of transmission of infectious agents like hepatitis. Since tattooing involves breaking the skin barrier, it poses some risk of bacterial infection. The risk is higher during periods of active chemo which lowers the immune system/slows down healing. There are however people on active chemo and yet have had tattoos done without problems.

Not a good: idea. Risk of infection and hepatitis go along w/tattoos. Would wait till after you're done breastfeeding.

Go for it: It won't affect your neurofibromatosis. Be VERY sure your tattoo is EXACTLY what you want, and wait for maybe five years, if it's still what you want, go for it. No tattoos until you're over 30 is another good rule, unless they're your parents or someone who's passed on, and keep them small. Best wishes.

Tattoos: Tattoos are a personal choice.  When an individual asks for medical advice about tattoos, the best person to advise them is usually their primary care doctor who can then review the medical history, medications taken and advise.

Tattoo before surg: I would advise you against doing a tattoo prior to surgery.  Wait until after you have had successful surgery and full recovery.

Avoid that: If the pain of a tattoo makes you want an anesthetic perhaps you should realize that you are going to cause pain to your self.  Appeal to your own common sense and consider avoiding increased exposure to hepatitis.  Number one cause of hepatitis and liver transplants come from tattoos.  It is a form of self mutilation and you may want to reconsider.
