Little risk: Probably this will pass through your intestine and out of your system in a day or two, without problem. If you develop abdominal pain or nausea &amp; vomiting, see a doctor.

Immediate help: You need to seek immediate help, as ingestion or inhalation of foreign objects like the toothpick you mention are medical emergencies.  You may be lucky and have limited to no issues related to this but don't leave that up to chance.  If you have any difficulty breathing, are spitting up or coughing up blood, have abdominal pain or chest pain seek now!

Toothpicks: Swallowing a toothpick can become serious. The smaller the piece, the less likely you are to have a problem. There is always a chance of a perforation however, in the stomach or colon. Your primary care doctor can help monitor for dangerous symptoms in this situation.

Cold packs: Usually not a big problem. Can be irritating to eye area, but with flushing and cold, moist compresses it will quiet down.  Use of eye drops like for contact lenses is fine to use.  If there is much irritation or if it lasts more than a couple of days, you should go to urgent care for examination or to eye doctor for more specific care.
