mon-thurs ive had chest tightness and heart palpitations. went to the doctor monday they did ekg and blood work & theyre fine ( potassium low ) now faintness when i eat. tried famotidine and symptoms still here. im anemic and have sickle c trait?

: What is the degree of your anemia? Has your anemia worsened recently? If your anemia is worse than usual or if it has changed, that could be the etiology of your symptoms. If the potassium is really low, that could also cause these symptoms. It will be interesting to know if your symptoms get better with potassium replacement. Follow your doctor’s advice. No: You should see a cardiologist to evaluate these episodes of palpitations.  This could be a manifestation of your thyroid disease but you should get an evaluation.

Poor circulation: You should see your PCP ASAP.  Could be start of  poor circulation which can be associated with heart disease.  
Don't delay .

May be cardiac SLE: Can't tell for sure but can be cardiac involvement and thus there is a need for an evaluation

: Blood test does not replace a thorough physical examination and detail medical history. Hot shower can lower blood pressure so I guess your symptoms are due to low blood pressure with standing (orthostatic hypotension). You need to be examined by an internist or a cardiologist. In the meantime, you can try to combat the symptoms by increased fluid intake with salt containing drinks for athletics.

See specialists: If your blood tests are normal you may need to see a cardiologist or neurologist for further testing. Your symptoms could be caused by many different conditions in your heart of nervous system. Make sure you are drinking plenty of water and taking a multivitamin. Avoid caffeine, alcohol, nicotine and any stimulants like decongestants.

Lightheadedness: Many conditions can cause that but since you have heartburn you need to be checked for anemia which could be a result of GI bleed.  Cardiac arrhythmia can also cause this condition. See your doctor ASAP

Get a monitor: The first thing is to diagnose the cause of the palpitaitons and make sure there is nothing seriously wrong.  A monitor will help with this.

SVT vs non sustained: Speak with your internist for a referral to a cardiac electrophysiologist.. You may need a holter/ event monitor followed by an electrophysiologic study and possible ablation.
