Probably normal: Hi. What time of day was your cortisol of 4.2? It's probably normal. Low serum potassium (K) may be a result of too much aldosterone or too much cortisol, but adrenal insufficiency (primary) causes HIGH serum K, NOT low. Your doc may be barking up the wrong tree testing you for primary adrenal insufficiency. Good luck!

glucose 54 while insulin was 13. could be cause by carb load day before?

Carb load: Probably not but your doctor must do some more work, or refer you to an Endocrinologist to find out why your  glucose level is so low.

Once that is understood and corrected I think things will be easier for you.

Hypokalemic p.p.: Hypokalemic periodic paralysis is a genetic disorder. Basic rx includes salt restriction, alcohol avoidance, carb restrictions, and high K intake. Med literature informs that K supplements do not prevent attacks, but do abort acute attacks. Still, keeping serum K at 5 is recommended. Spread K tabs (potassium) to 4x/day. Diamox is effective rx. K supplements are essential w Diamox because K is lost in urine.

Yes: If by hypokpp you mean hypokakemic periodic paralysis then yes. The muscle cells lose potassium (k) and cannot contract causing weakness. Hard to increase heart rate. Triggers can be diet related esp by sweet or starchy foods. Too much activity as well as even sleep can be triggers as can some meds. Be sure to have close follow up with your doctor. Addison disease: usually causes higher rather than lower potassium. How do you know you have low cortisol levels? What tests were done and what were the results. Low blood sugar is vanishingly rare and a frequently overdiagnosed and misdiagnosed disorder unless you are on diabetes medication. Discuss w/your doctor.

Treatment is possible with potassium supplements, or medications.  It typical starts in the teens, but life span is usually normal, although persistent weakness may develop over years.  It is very rarely fatal if recognized.

Replace potassium: When potassium levels are severely depressed, periodic paralysis results. Immediate treatment is replacement of potassium. Then a search for the underlying cause should be done. Typical examples are nasogastric suction, profuse diarrhea, marked vomiting, uncontrolled diabetes or diuretic use. Adrenal hyperplasia or adenoma are rare causes.
