nov. 3: ct-scan showed 1.0 cm left adrenal nodule & a subcentimeter hypodense lesion in the right kidney. dec. 29th: just finding out looking up records. er dr and pcp didnt tell me. should i be concerned? could both spread or get bigger?

Lesions: I believe that both of these small lesions are benign, but I think your physician should sit down with the radiologist who interpreted the scan and get his/her opinion about them and whether any other studies or follow-up examinations would be advisable. I would prefer to see such information on the final report rather than leaving you up in the air, concerned and confused.

Lesion on kidney: 33 F: 8 mon ago Dr. found problems on my kidney and spleen. Explanation? Not enough information. 1.Why was it done? 2. What is your detailed medical and family and travel history? 3.Your Drs knows you best so ask them. Or consult with one of us here. Get copy of scan or ultrasound so we can look at  it.

in october 2021, i got diagnosed with kidney cyst. after ct scan, nephrologist said it's a well round simple cyst (non-enhancing hypodense lesion). nowadays i'm feeling a little discomfort in kidney region. is it my feeling or it's actual problem?

: A small, simple cyst rarely causes any symptom. I have taken care patients with multiple simple cysts and they can be as big as 8-10 cm but most were incidentally detected, hardly symptomatic at all. It is just your feeling, you should neglect it. However, if the cyst is very big and symptomatic, CT guided cyst aspiration can be done.

Subacute infarct: What that means is that at some time in the recent past, there was an interruption of the blood supply to that part of the kidney.

Unless you have: had a recent illness(e.g. mononucleosis) that could explain those findings, unfortunately the main concern for splenomegaly and adenopathy would be lymphoma.  Please talk to your doc about the results and next steps.

Hypodensities: Hypodense areas are usually consistent with cystic ctructures, where hyperdense areas would be more consistent with solid lesions.  This is not always the case, and sometimes a ct scan will need to be done if there is a question between cystic or solid lesions.

: Usually it means a cystic lesion which is a common and benign finding. A cyst of 5 mm is quite common for people above 30 years old.
