Either is fine: An epidural steroid may or may not be effective, and a difficult injection could lead to a spinal headache.  Do NOT see much downside to hypnotherapy other than that too might not work well.

Yes: It is a natural birth plan but it can be used no matter what is needed. If there is planned repeat C-section one could still use the principles and teachings. It lowers the rate of c  section and epidural anesthesia but if these modalitites are needed they are done.

Benefits only: I think doulas are great as long as they don't marginalize your partner or husband.  Anything or anyone that increases your chances of an easy, healthy vaginal delivery is great.

Yes: Many women find having a doula to be helpful, others not so much.  If you are delivering in a hospital, look for a doula with experience in hospital birth.  Having a doula that is very anti-hospital (as some are) likely creates more stress than it relieves.
