when i lay down my blood pressure is 116/ 77 , when i am sitting it goes up to 130/99 to 120/94 , its always normal while laying down , but when i am sitting it gets high, would this be hypertension?i didnt receive an answer ... thanks

Blood pressure: Normal blood pressure is systolic blood pressure less than 120 and diastolic less than 80. You would have an elevated systolic blood pressure and stage two hypertension with a diastolic blood pressure greater than 90.

Depends on details: Numbers are just numbers... and mean little without context (without knowing the whole picture). 101/63 is normal for most people. It may be low for a person who gets lightheaded from low blood pressure. It is high for babies. Whether a BP number is ok or not depends on what the person's usual BP is, how fast any pressure changes happened, and whether or not there are symptoms or past disorders.

Losarten ?'s: Losarten is a class of anti-hypertensive meds which provides dependable control of hypertension. Consult the physician who prescribed the Losarten, and he/she may recommend an alternative.  There are many options for blood pressure control, and one may have less undesirable effects.

if i lay down flat for three minutes and take my blood pressure it is 123/86. if i stand up, and remain still, and wait three minutes it goes up to 142/107. is this normal? i'm taking the lowest dose of valsartan daily?

: BP is highly variable. Both these numbers are higher than desired:  123/86 is only slightly elevated but you definitely don't want it near 142/107 most of the time. Keep taking your BP a few times a day, in various positions, and keep a record of the results. When you have several days' data, show the record to your doctor and then discuss possible changes in your treatment. Good luck.

this is probably nothing but my blood pressure keeps going down and down each time it's checked.  i'm usually 112/80 but then it was 106/74, then 104/72, then the last time it was 80/54. i was laying down waiting for colonoscopy so i wasn't stressed.

You may also have: been moderately dehydrated from the diarrhea associated with the bowel prep for your colposcopy. If you were not dizzy or lightheaded and did not pass out it will most likely return to normal when you return to normal oral intake and bowel activity. Like you assumed: "Probably nothing."
