or uropathy. Urine is regularly ingested & massaged into the skin. It is reported that the varied metabolites and hormones benefit health but there is no research to back up the claims of this odd form of alterative medicine.

No. : Swallowing small amounts of ones own urine for any medical reason has no scientific basis.  Oral herpes is a virus that hides in the nerve tissues of the head and face, and trauma, sun exposure, or stres will cause it to manifest. If it is diagnosed in the tingling, or prodrome, then antiviral medicine can be prescribed. Otherwise, the lesion clears up in 7-14 days.

i have very high urine cortisol due to stress, when i wake up i feel like i've been in a fight, can i take a medicine to lower cortisol with therapy?

Urine cortisol: The cortisol may or may not be stress related. Please see your primary doctor and you should also see a Psychologist.

Bradi therapy: Braditherapy is for prostate cancer. Having Blood in urine sometimes no cause can be found. If painful or deep pain or backache you should visit your doctor to exclude infection in urine, prostate. If you are having trouble urinating, drops after urination and weak flow you would need Uromax or Duodart.Can test Bilharzia IgM to exclude this as a cause for haematuria.

Not Yet: Msud is a very rare genetic d/o where one is unable to break down the Amino Acids (aa): leucine, isoleucine, & valine. The degree to which an individual might be affected varies. In the us it is diagnosed with neonatal screening which takes place when the baby is around 24 hrs old. Treatment is with dietary avoidance of these aa to spare brain damage and possible death.

See below: Most commonly the defect is on chromosome 19, although other mutations on other chromosomes occur less frequently.  Current therapy is dietary avoidance of the Amino Acids these patients cannot break down.

Yuk! But no worries.: Children need better toys than a used toilet brush. Also, young children should be continually watched when in the bathroom because they can drown in a toilet or tub. No worries about the radioiodine, as the toilet brush is presumably rinsed off when cleaning the toilet and flushing a couple of times. Furthermore, the toilet brush gets rinsed off again if in the bath water. And, it's been 9 days.

I'm sorry: Small cell carcinoma is very seldom primary in the liver and you need to have an explanation for why it's not a lung primary metastatic there instead -- that would be treatable with chemotherapy for a few more good months / years. The baking soda "alternative" therapy is a cynical, cruel fraud and adds insult to your difficult situation, no matter how "kindly" and "caring" the presenters.

my friend has a water retention during chemotherapy because the leukemia. he has urine retention 0,5-1 liters a day. does he need the lasix (furosemide) therapy?

Accepted Answer

Edema: If your friend is accumulating water, she needs to speak to the oncologist directing the chemotherapy or her internist to see if diuretic therapy is appropriate in her case. I suspect that it may be needed and only a physician who examines her can make the decision to start her on Lasix (furosemide) or increase its dose. Good luck.
