Belly bloating: There are lots of reasons for abdominal distension ; bloating ; not all of them are due to the GI tract. Even "functional" syndromes may be present without underlying "disease." however psbo (paralyzed gut) due to metabolic ; inflammatory conditions nearby (like an untreated infection of the urinary tract)must be considered ; addressed. Hydrotherapy addresses none of these. Get evaluated first pls.

gastro sent me to hospital for full examination liver/kidneys for an extremely swollen stomach. said it was heart so off to cardiologist. he did full examination and said it was not heart, so recommend back to gastro. what to do about huge stomach?

GP: Stick with GP, who based on information from all consults should be able to further conduct investigations and also trial meds to help with abdominal distention. Imaging will be critical as to suggesting the cause: fluid accumulation, growth, etc.

my 14 month old's stomach is bigger than normal, she aint eating much, one night she woke up vomiting. she is currently on anti biotics medication called clarihexal for hand, foot and mouth. what can be the cause for the huge stomach?

Bloating: The stomach will swell with excess air when the kid swallows it during or between feeds &amp; it does not move down the GI tract as it would normally. The medication or the illness may be the cause. I see no reason for a kid to be on antibiotics for HFM, a common viral illness. Clarihexal is a antihistamine, not an antibiotic. I see no reason it would be helpful.

Spot fat loss does: not occur naturally. By losing weight in general  some may be abdominal fat.  But, we don't get to choose what area of body fat is lost from. Eat healthy &amp; be physically active. Calories burned must &gt; those consumed. Tighten ab's: crunches, reverse crunches, exercise ball crunches, pelvic thrusts, lying leg raises, side bridge &amp; “bicycling” exercise on back. Do regular aerobic exercise.

Bloated: Sounds like you are describing an umbilical hernia as bloating in response to eating. Some evaluation into the cause of your bloating is warranted such as food intolerance (lactose, etc). Also if the hernia is bothersome you can consider surgical repair.

See your doctor: This is something that needs to be evaluated.  There are a number of things this could be, some more worrisome than others.  Don't put it off any longer.  Find a physician in your area.

Lipoma: Sounds like they may be lipomas which are benign encapsulated accumulations of fat. Many people have them and they do not require any intervention unless they are so large they are cosmetically unappealing or pressing on a nerve and causing pain. An examination by your provider can confirm this is the case. Very rarely is any additional testing needed to make this diagnosis.

Not normal: These symptoms, especially if new onset, need to be evaluated. Causes can be anatomical such as uterine myomas, polyps or cancer.  Hematologic abnormalities can also cause heavy cycles with clots. Pregnancy needs to be ruled out.

See doctor: It is hard to say what may be the problem. One may be that there is an obstruction in the area beyond the stomach. I recommend that you consult your doctor and get this checked out.

See below: When you overeat such as this your stomach lining flattens and your stomach distends.  There is nothing that can alleviate these symptoms that occur until the stomach returns to normal size  if you do not like these symptoms do not overeat.
