2 scenarios: there are 2 scenarios:- either it has not been eradicated completely OR - you have " ping-pong phenomenon". your spouse needs to be treated too as there is possibility that you transfer the bacteria back and forth. discuss with your MD in detail.

Pain: Some people have no symptoms whatsoever.  Those who do have symptoms may have abdominal pain, nausea or vomiting. The symptoms can be pretty subtle.  H. Pylori needs to be treated because it is a significant risk factor for developing stomach cancer in the future.
